Little is currently known about Vaggs Lane in Hordle, Hampshire. However, Vaggs Lane is mentioned from 1701, so we can assume the name dates from at least that point.

Mortgage by lease for 1,000 years at a peppercorn rent to secure £12 and interest: close of meadow (2 1/2 acres) in Vags Lane, Hordle, late in the occupation of John Sanders, but now of Roger Davis, on part of which a house formerly stood.
